About this Product
??Green Garnet, Tektite Bracelet!??
Green Garnet 8MM Rounds with Tektite Faceted 8MM Rounds and 3 MM Sterling Silver Lobster Clasp and Extender.
Green Garnet, known as Tsavorite or Demantoid, is a striking gemstone with a rich green hue created by traces of chromium or vanadium. Unlike traditional red garnets, its vibrant color and high brilliance make it a sought-after choice in jewelry. Formed in metamorphic rocks, Green Garnet’s intense color and clarity set it apart as a rare and eco-conscious gem.
Green Garnet is thought to embody growth, renewal, and abundance. Associated with the heart chakra, it’s believed to open one’s heart to love and compassion while providing grounding energy. It’s also said to encourage confidence and resilience, supporting new beginnings and emotional healing during life changes.
This gemstone is primarily found in East Africa, with the finest Tsavorite from Kenya and Tanzania, and Demantoid from Russia’s Ural Mountains. Deposits also exist in Madagascar, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, but East Africa and Russia remain top sources for the highest-quality stones, valued for their unique shades and rarity.
Tektite is a natural glass formed by meteorite impacts, creating a smooth, pitted texture as it cools rapidly upon re-entry to Earth’s atmosphere. Its colors, ranging from black to olive green, give it an otherworldly appeal. Unlike other stones, Tektite lacks a crystalline structure, which adds to its unique visual and tactile qualities.
Tektite is believed to enhance psychic abilities and support spiritual growth, connecting users to cosmic energies. It’s valued for its grounding effects, helping individuals release outdated patterns and gain mental clarity. This stone is also thought to promote a balance between expansion and stability, aiding both intuitive insight and practical grounding.
Tektite is found in strewn fields globally, where ancient meteorite impacts scattered fragments. Notable locations include Southeast Asia (especially Thailand and the Philippines), Australia, and parts of North America. Each region’s Tektite displays slight variations in color and texture, adding unique qualities to pieces from different areas.
GEMS BY JAMI
Meet the Maker
Hi there! My name is Jami Schwager and I live in a small town in Northeastern Illinois named Johnsburg. We are located near the Chain of Lakes waterway and we (I am including my husband and captain of our vessel) LOVE boating on our Bayliner Cabin Cruiser in the summers! When I’m not on my boat you can usually find me making jewelry. In 2022 I decided to make birthstone bracelets with gemstones for the women in my family for Christmas gifts. I have been obsessed with making jewelry ever since! I enjoy coming up with new designs and discovering the beauty in each new gemstone I work with. Now I consider making jewelry my passion. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy creating them. Thanks so much for checking out my shop!
