Kingsman Turquoise is a variety of turquoise known for its vivid blue to greenish-blue hues, often with a distinctive matrix pattern. It is named after the Kingman mine in Arizona, one of the oldest and most famous turquoise mines in the United States.
Kingsman Turquoise is believed to possess a range of properties that promote overall well-being. It is often associated with communication, helping individuals to express themselves clearly and with confidence. The stone is also thought to provide emotional balance, dispelling negative energy and stabilizing mood swings. Additionally, it is considered a protective stone, offering a sense of security and warding off negative influences. Turquoise, in general, is linked to the throat chakra, enhancing communication and expression, and is said to bring peace, calm, and tranquility to the wearer.
Kingsman Turquoise is predominantly found in the Kingman mine, located in the Mineral Park Mining District of Arizona. This region has been a significant source of turquoise for both Native American artisans and modern jewelers, renowned for producing some of the finest quality turquoise available. The mine has a long history, dating back to prehistoric times, and continues to be a vital source of this beautiful and culturally significant gemstone.
GEMS BY JAMI
Meet the Maker
Hi there! My name is Jami Schwager and I live in a small town in Northeastern Illinois named Johnsburg. We are located near the Chain of Lakes waterway and we (I am including my husband and captain of our vessel) LOVE boating on our Bayliner Cabin Cruiser in the summers! When I’m not on my boat you can usually find me making jewelry. In 2022 I decided to make birthstone bracelets with gemstones for the women in my family for Christmas gifts. I have been obsessed with making jewelry ever since! I enjoy coming up with new designs and discovering the beauty in each new gemstone I work with. Now I consider making jewelry my passion. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy creating them. Thanks so much for checking out my shop!
