Malachite is a striking, bright green mineral that forms in botryoidal, fibrous, or stalactitic masses, with swirling patterns of lighter and darker shades of green. It is a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral, often polished into smooth stones or carved into jewelry, giving it an ornamental appeal. The stone has been used for millennia, from ancient Egyptian amulets to modern healing practices, valued for both its beauty and the energy it is believed to carry.
Malachite is highly regarded as a stone of transformation and protection. It is said to absorb negative energies from the environment, offering psychic protection and shielding from harmful influences. On a personal level, Malachite encourages emotional healing by helping release deep-seated trauma and opening the heart to new experiences and growth. It is also believed to stimulate clear thinking and decision-making, making it a powerful tool for those in need of personal empowerment.
Malachite can be found in various parts of the world, most notably in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is known for its high-quality specimens. Other sources include Zambia, Namibia, Russia, and the southwestern United States. The presence of copper deposits in these regions leads to the formation of Malachite, often found alongside other copper-based minerals like azurite. This accessibility makes it a popular and widely-used stone in both industrial and metaphysical practices.
Garnet is considered a stone of vitality and passion, enhancing energy, strength, and stamina. It is known to inspire love and devotion, balancing the sex drive and alleviating emotional disharmony. Garnet also aids in the removal of negative energies and transforms them into positive energies, enhancing self-confidence and creative powers.
Black Spinel is a striking, opaque gemstone known for its deep, jet-black color and brilliant luster. It belongs to the spinel family of minerals and is highly valued for its durability and rarity. Often mistaken for black diamonds, Black Spinel has a smooth surface and a glassy finish, making it a popular choice in jewelry. It is believed to provide grounding, protection, and resilience, helping to repel negative energies and promote a sense of inner strength and empowerment.

Meet the Maker
Hi there! My name is Jami Schwager and I live in a small town in Northeastern Illinois named Johnsburg. We are located near the Chain of Lakes waterway and we (I am including my husband and captain of our vessel) LOVE boating on our Bayliner Cabin Cruiser in the summers! When I’m not on my boat you can usually find me making jewelry. In 2022 I decided to make birthstone bracelets with gemstones for the women in my family for Christmas gifts. I have been obsessed with making jewelry ever since! I enjoy coming up with new designs and discovering the beauty in each new gemstone I work with. Now I consider making jewelry my passion. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy creating them. Thanks so much for checking out my shop!
