Tektite 6MM Faceted Rounds and 4MM Andalusite Faceted Rondelles Spaced with 2MM Round Sterling Silver Beads, Clasp and Extender. 7 1/4in. - 8 1/4in.
I wear this design daily! I am in love with Andalusite and its pleochlorism. It pairs well with Tektite which I love for its extraterrestrial attributes.
Tektite is a natural glass formed from terrestrial debris ejected during meteorite impacts. It has a distinctive, irregular shape and can vary in color, typically black, brown, or dark green, with a smooth or pitted surface. Tektites are often prized for their unique origin, as they are created through the intense heat and pressure of cosmic collisions. This makes them not only rare but also fascinating to collectors and those interested in metaphysical properties.
Tektite is believed to enhance spiritual growth and psychic abilities. It is thought to aid in expanding consciousness, promoting clear energy flow, and helping individuals access higher realms during meditation. Tektite is also associated with protection, particularly during astral travel or spiritual exploration, and is believed to increase personal energy and vitality. Many use it to release emotional blockages and promote healing on a deeper, spiritual level.
Tektites are found in areas impacted by meteorites, including Southeast Asia, Australia, and parts of Europe and North America. Famous varieties include Moldavite, found in the Czech Republic, and other forms of Tektite scattered across countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Andalusite is a fascinating aluminum silicate mineral, often recognized for its pleochroism, meaning it shows different colors when viewed from different angles. Typically, Andalusite appears in shades of green, brown, red, or yellow. Andalusite is prized for both its beauty and its metaphysical significance, commonly used in jewelry and spiritual practices.
Andalusite is associated with balance and grounding. It is believed to provide emotional stability, helping to balance opposing energies and create a sense of calm during times of stress or change. The stone is also thought to offer protection, shielding the user from negativity and harm. Additionally, Andalusite is known for enhancing clarity, promoting insight, and supporting spiritual growth by helping individuals connect with their true path and purpose. Its grounding energy is believed to help maintain focus and stay present.
Andalusite is primarily found in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Spain, and the United States. These locations are known for producing high-quality crystals, which are used both in gemstone jewelry and for metaphysical purposes. It forms in metamorphic rocks and can be found in environments where high pressure and temperature have caused mineral transformation.
GEMS BY JAMI
Meet the Maker
Hi there! My name is Jami Schwager and I live in a small town in Northeastern Illinois named Johnsburg. We are located near the Chain of Lakes waterway and we (I am including my husband and captain of our vessel) LOVE boating on our Bayliner Cabin Cruiser in the summers! When I’m not on my boat you can usually find me making jewelry. In 2022 I decided to make birthstone bracelets with gemstones for the women in my family for Christmas gifts. I have been obsessed with making jewelry ever since! I enjoy coming up with new designs and discovering the beauty in each new gemstone I work with. Now I consider making jewelry my passion. I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoy creating them. Thanks so much for checking out my shop!
